The Brian Parker Memorial Foundation

Our Mission

The Brian Parker Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, which will actively strive to provide educational materials, research grants, monetary assistance, and monetary support to those who have cancer by raising funds in response to area needs.

When Brian Parker was diagnosed with leukemia, the Niles community did everything they could to assist the Parker family with his medical expenses. Dick and Judy Parker were very grateful for this assistance, and organized the first Brian Parker Memorial Golf Tournament in order to raise money for the American Cancer Society and to keep Brian's memory alive. In 1997, together with family and friends, Dick and Judy Parker formed the Brian Parker Memorial Foundation so that they could keep the money local and give directly back to the community that had supported them in their time of need. In the years since, the Foundation has been able to determine how every dollar raised is used to battle cancer and benefit cancer patients in our community.

We have been able to help hundreds of individuals in the Michiana area undergoing cancer treatment. Our assistance has included money for rent or utilities, medicines, wigs for chemo patients, and gas cards to pay for transportation to treatment.

Together, we are making a difference. Cancer survivors are not only living longer, but their quality of life is higher now than ever. Our goal is to one day have more survivor tributes than memorials.
